Meet Cydney Amos, Program Coordinator for 305 8th Street Community. Since March 2021 Cydney has made waves in residents activities. She creates opportunities for residents to learn and grow.
Today, residents are thrilled to have Chik-Fil-A and Sweet Temptations support their efforts to raise funds for the home and for their everyday spending.
WHEN: August 28th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHAT: 305 8th Street Community offers a program that offers 24-hour and supportive care to residents with different abilities that do not meet standards for state group home care. Our organization depends on community support to provide everyday care to our residents who call this home 365 days a year.
WHO: 305 8th Street Community Residents host Lemonade Stand-Free Lemonade. Thomas, a resident since August 2018 is showcasing his DJ skills. Carlene (resident since02014) and Kellie Nevels (residents since 2008) have prepared crafts to sell alongside other professional crafters.
WHERE: 305 8th Street, Huntsville, AL 35805
HOW: The Block Party Event is Free to the Community and proceeds benefit everyday care for the home and its resident. Chik-Fil-A, Ice Cream, and crafts will be for sale. Yard games are set up on-site for patrons to enjoy while eating and having fun.
